About Liberty London

In 1875 Arthur Lazenby Liberty wished to create a London emporium filled with luxury items and fabrics from all over the world. Soon after, he began printing his first fabric, and his amazing vision led to the development of the now famous and heritage listed 6 floor Liberty London store found on Great Marlborough Street.

Liberty London's signature fabric - Tana Lawn is created from Ultra fine long staple cotton, giving it a soft, silky and luxurious feel. Liberty Tana Lawn is printed at Liberty's factory near the banks of Lake Como, Italy, and the now famous Liberty Print Archives contains over 45,000 designs, with the artists in the Liberty Design Studio creating over 250 designs a year.
